By now, I am sure you know that I admire Julio Franco. He is the oldest player in the Major Leagues right now, and at 48 years of age, his longevity is truly inspirational. Last night, Julio faced Roger Clemens and the duel became "the oldest batter-pitcher matchup in the major leagues since Nick Altrock of the Washington Senators hit a comebacker off the Philadelphia Athletics' Rube Walberg in the 11th inning on Oct. 1, 1933, according to the Elias Sports Bureau." - Source.
One of Julio's at-bats resulted in a fly-out to the warning track.
Julio's New York Mets beat the Yankees.
