During the school year, coaches have quite a bit of control over their athletes. They are able to dictate when the athletes practice, when they lift, and at some schools when they take classes during the day. But, over the summer, when the athletes leave campus and head home to work at their summer jobs, coaches will have no control at all over what the athletes do or what decisions they make. The athletes will be working for managers and supervisors who may not have the best interests of the athlete in mind. Chances are, the supervisors are out for their quota and that's about it.
Check out my latest article for all the coaches out there who want to keep their student athletes in one piece, and with all their sense intact.
