Club Swinging in the House of Power

This clip has some excellent footage of legitimate club swinging.

The music is phenomenal - "Barra, Barra" By Rashid Taha.

I love the pressing at about 48 seconds. According to a post by Zgros, "It does the core, shoulders and chest. They are meant to be shields. This came about during occupation, when Iranians were not allowed to learn martial skills, so they learnt masquarading as a sport."

I found this video here.

They feature a few images from Encyclopedia of Indian Physical Culture, Edited by D.C.Mujumdar, Baroda: Sree Ram Vijaya Printing Press, 1950. Pages 566-601.
